Michael and Michael

Well here's to a great dad and a #1 trooper. I spent the day in Gettysburg with both of them blazing away with our cameras. It was wonderful to see a dad take such interest in his son by sharing a hobby together. It will no doubt be a lasting memory for Michael Jr. We walked close to three miles in some nasty heat and humidity and not a complaint from young Michael. Thanks guys!!

Oh! Look at Michael Jr. with his camera! Great shot of Father & son sharing a great hobby! Soon Mike will be getting him his own D60 or D80 and Michael Jr will be blowing us all away! Maybe one day soon we'll see a Michael Jr. photo blog! Ha!!

Wish I could have made it but as I said on Mike's blog...I don't think this lil gal could have taken the heat yesterday...I would have been fainting and you'd all have been carrying me! LOL

Looking forward to seeing more.

PS: You and have the same camera backpack in the same color (as soon on Mike's blog). :)

Yes the heat was punishing. It's to bad we didn't have todays weather. I think Michael Jr. will be getting alot of dad's hand me downs as a matter of fact I've got a D200 I'd sell him! I love my backpack. It seems to hold everything I need including some food.

What a great capture, Bob! The intensity of their expressions is wonderful.

By the way, which backpack do you and Jen have? Mine doesn't have ANY room for food. ;-)

Hi Julie, the pack is made by Tamrac and is I believe a model 5546 Adventure 6 for 69.95 from B&H. My other choice is the adventure 7 which has more room for food and a light rain jacket or light windbreaker. It's 74.95 from B&H. Go to tamrac.com and check out the whole adventure series of packs. Some have room for a laptop.

While I don't "know" Mike and Michael, I do "know" a beautiful, insightful capture that tells a loving father/son story.

Very nice.
